Warrenmang's Black Puma Shiraz Wins Again
Warrenmang's 2006 Black Puma Shiraz has been acknowledged once more as the Public Choice - Best Red Wine of the Exhibition by over 3000 attendees at the 2009 Federation Square Showcase, Best of the Best Victorian Wines.
An event where only makers of medal winning wines are invited to attend and show their wines, 250++ red wines were on display. Organisers said that Black Puma Shiraz from Warrenmang was a runaway winner with over 50 per cent of the total votes. This is the 2nd year in succession that Warrenmang has won the Public Choice Award, a unique achievement in the history of the Federation Wine Showcase.
As a result of the announcement, Warrenmang has been flooded with enquiries for this iconic wine which is very limited and usually 90% sold prior to release.
Enquiries are welcome for the next vintage of this wine 2007 to be released early 2010. James Halliday awarded this wine 92/100 in the new edition of the Australian Wine Companion 2010.
